Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information VersusKit handles, why we need it, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 10, 2026

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the VersusKit website, application, and related services (the “Service”). Kareverie LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Delaware, operates VersusKit and is the controller of personal information processed for its own purposes. When you publish a comparison page, you remain responsible for the content you choose to make public.

Information we collect

Account and authentication information

We collect your email address and account identifiers when you request a magic sign-in link or use an authenticated account. Our authentication provider also uses session identifiers and essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect your account.

Project and content information

We store the information you provide or create in the Service, including:

  • Product and website URLs you submit for research.
  • Competitor selections, custom comparison fields, and cell edits.
  • Generated comparison content, public source links, and research status.
  • Page headlines, descriptions, call-to-action labels and URLs.
  • Export choices, publishing status, and public comparison snapshots.

Billing information

We store plan, entitlement, transaction status, usage allowance, and Stripe customer, checkout, or subscription identifiers. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe’s hosted checkout and are not stored by VersusKit.

Technical information

We and our infrastructure providers may process standard request and security information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and error logs. The current Service does not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral advertising tools.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and secure your account and maintain your session.
  • Research products and generate, edit, export, and publish comparisons.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, allowances, and billing support.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
  • Comply with law and enforce our legal rights.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on performance of our contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent.

AI processing

VersusKit uses the OpenAI API to discover public competitors, research product websites, and generate comparison content. Relevant project inputs, such as website URLs, selected products, and comparison fields, are sent to OpenAI for this purpose. The Service may also use OpenAI web-search tools to find public source material.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information you do not have permission to use, or regulated data that is unnecessary for a product comparison. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before publication.

You can review OpenAI’s business-data practices at openai.com/business-data.

How we share information

We share information only as needed with:

  • Supabase, for database hosting, account authentication, and session management. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI, to provide AI research and generation features.
  • Stripe, to provide hosted checkout, payment processing, subscription management, and fraud prevention. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting, security, professional, and infrastructure providers that process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
  • Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current version of the Service.

Public comparison pages

When you choose “Publish,” the comparison snapshot, product information, source links, and any call to action you configured become publicly accessible at a shareable URL. Search engines and third parties may copy or index public pages. Review the page carefully and make sure you have the right to publish its content.

Deleting a project through the Service permanently deletes its project data and associated published page from VersusKit. Copies already cached or saved by third parties may remain outside our control.

Cookies

VersusKit uses cookies and similar storage that are necessary for sign-in, session refresh, security, and core Service operation. Disabling essential cookies may prevent authenticated features from working. The current Service does not place optional advertising or analytics cookies.

Retention and security

We retain account, project, billing, and usage information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain business and security records, and meet legal obligations. Project data remains until you delete the project or it is otherwise removed under these terms. Payment and compliance records may be kept for longer periods where required by law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and provider security features. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you are responsible for protecting access to your email account and sign-in links.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may delete individual projects in the application and manage paid subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal.

To request account-level access, correction, or deletion, contact support@kareverie.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

VersusKit and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers. Provider locations and transfer mechanisms may vary based on the infrastructure used to deliver the Service.

Children

The Service is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@kareverie.com.
